The HeliClinics program is a ZUMAT initiative, in co-operation with JNC Helicopters cc (Clas II Part 127 AOC N708D). This program serves rural hospitals in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, by shuttling doctors, nurses and other medical personnel between rural clinics and their parent hospitals on a weekly basis. This is a donated service, and relies on donor funding.

HeliClinics is a crucial service to the healthcare practitioners of our district; drastically reducing time spent traveling and negating the risks associated with driving on ill-maintained rural roads.  

Our goal is to develop this program in order to serve at least three of the hospitals in our district. This will enable patients at more than 20 clinics to access vital healthcare.
